TDL - Fly Away to Tokyo Disneyland Experience
The Fly Away to Tokyo Disneyland Experience was an official trip by Disney for pin traders and Disney enthusiasts. The group traveled April 13-20, 2003, to Tokyo Disney Resort and visited Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea and the Japanese city of Kyoto. There were 32 guest traveling on the trip and most of the pins and merchandise listed below were exclusive to or originated with the trip.
 | Pin 21126: TDR Experience - Fly Away to Tokyo Framed Pin Set
This beautiful framed pin set was given to individuals that will be taking the Disney Fly Away to Tokyo Trip.
It features a color photograph of the Tokyo Disneyland Monorail (Yellow Line) with the Castle behind it. The pins include Mickey and Minnie in uniform along with Goofy carrying Mickey Head luggage and Donald carrying the Japan flag while walking unto the train. Chip and Dale mini pins are in the bottom right of the picture. A Tokyo Disney Resort Experience logo stamp is on the upper right-hand corner of the picture. The gold medallion at the bottom center of the frame is the Pin Trading Around the World logo from officialdisneypintrading.com.
This framed set IS a limited edition. Only 50 framed sets were made. The pins inside the frame are all limited editions of 100.

Each person participating in the Disney Experience was given the opportunity to purchase up to 3 of the sets of 10 pins (at $150 per set). Out of the 100 sets made, most were sold and the rest were used as VIP gifts to Disney reps involved in the trip. None of the 100 pins were destroyed.

This limited edition Fantasy pin released through Dizpins.com commemorates the Fly Away to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort trip. Daniel will be giving this pin to the members of the tour group and the Disney Representatives...and other special friends of the Ohana!!

Disney made this watch for the Tokyo Disney Experience pin trading trip. The watch was made in an edition of 50 and was given as a gift to everyone who went on the trip.
The watch came in a wood box with the event logo on it. The watch face is the color version of the event logo that shows Mickey and Donald trading pins from their lanyards at Tokyo Disney Resort. The watch has a black leather band and the watch face is approximately 1" x 1¼" in size.

This is a fantasy pin designed by DisneyGuys.
The pin commemorates joining the the Mile High Club in Pin Trading. It celebrates anyone who has has flown to a Disney park to trade pins, but especially those brave souls who have traded pins while in the air on the way to a Disney park. Of course, it can also be used as a special reminder of a pin trade through the mail where the envelope went "air" mail.
The pin is made to look like gold, Pilot wings and shows a airplane flying.
The pin reads: "Earned My Wings"
"I joined the Mile High Pin Trading Club"
It also lists the countries with Disney parks: "USA, Japan, France, China"
The pin was created for the Fly Away to Tokyo Disney Experience. Since pin trading was not allowed at the Disney Resort, some pin trading was done during the 13 hour flights to and from the resort. This pin was given as a gift to each of the people on the trip and the new friends made during the trip.

This is a fantasy pin designed by DisneyGuys.
The pin commemorates how many Pin Traders feel when they have to go without their precious pin lanyards.
The pin is made to look like a t-shirt slogan.
The pin reads: "I feel naked without my pin lanyard" There are various colors of this pin in the edition size:
Red Shirt: 50 pins
Blue Shirt: 75 pins
Pink Shirt: 75 pins
Black Shirt: 75 pins
White Shirt: 75 pins
The pin was created for the Fly Away to Tokyo Disney Experience. Since pin lanyards were not allowed to be worn at the Tokyo Disney Resort, this pin was used to make a fun jab at all the pin traders running around the park without their lanyards.
This pin was given as a gift to each of the people on the trip and the new friends made during the trip.
As a special surprise, there is a hidden lanyard on the back of the pin.
