For the 2004 Tournament of Roses Parade (January 1, 2004), the Disneyland Resort sponsored a float. The float celebrates and promotes the opening (in spring 2004) of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction at Disney's California Adventure. The float (the tallest in Rose Parade history) features the DCA Tower of Terror, as well as other DCA icons such as the California Screamin' roller coaster and the Sun Wheel. This pin was given to Disney cast members who volunteered to help decorate the float and worked at least four hours. The pin features the DCA logo, three bolts of lightning, and a red rose. In gold (which scans dark), the pin reads "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, 2004 Rose Parade."

 | Pin 16109: Lawry's - Mickey & Minnie in the Rose Parade
*** Please be advised that there are possible bootlegged versions of this pin. The differences are that although there is a bit of space between the r and n on the original pin, the bootleg pin has more. There is also a lack of space around the word "Roses". It also appears that the word "Tournament" is mispelled "Tournement". ***
Mickey & Minnie Mouse (who is wearing a large pink bow) are waving from a float in the 97th Tournament of Roses. Float is sponsored by Lawry's. Red Tournament of Roses logo is displayed in center of yellow bunting which is draping the blue float. Blue stars and pink rose bows also decorate.
Reverse of pin reads “Officially Licensed Products 1984 - T of R – Milestone – Walt Disney Prod”
This pin was never released officially, due to a licensing problem. Lawry's got permission from Disney to use Mickey & Minnie on their float, but not on any merchandising. There were only 14 of these pins issued, and those were given to Lawry's board of directors. The official Tournament of Roses Pin Guide for this year – the first year the parade ever issued pins, lists this pin as not available. |
