WDW - Main Street Electrical Parade Farewell Spring 2001
A series of three pins issued in the Spring of 2001 to commemorate the Farewell to the Main Stree Electical Parade at Walt Disney World. The last parade was performed on April 1, 2001.
The first pin was the Spinner pin and it was a limited edition of 5000.
The second pin was Mickey waving with a moveable arm and it was a limited edition of 5000.
The third and final pin was of Elliot from Pete's Dragon and it was a limited edition of 3000.
 | Pin 3985: Main Street Electrical Parade Farewell Spring 2001 - Spinner
This pin shows various "floats" in the Main Street Electrical Parade as a spinning component of the pin. The center looks like the drum that rolls by at the beginning of the parade. The blue outer ring says "Magic Kingdom, Farewell Spring 2001." Often called the MSEP Spinner.
This is the first of three pins released at WDW to bid farewell to the parade. The second pin released is #4183 and the third is #4553. At its widest point, from the dinosaur's head to the locomotive smokestack, this gold-finished, textured-back pin measures 2 9/16". The center has a diameter of 1 1/2". The backstamp says, "Limited Edition of 5000-(c)Disney-China".

Second pin for the Main Street Electrical Parade Farewell. Limited edition of 5000. Released at Magic Kingdom. Beautiful pin featuring Mickey waving. On Bottom reads Farewell, Spring 2001, Magic Kingdom.
This silver-finished, textured-back pin measures 1 1/2" tall by 1 9/16" wide. Mickey's right arm is on a spring and will wave. The backstamp says, "LIMITED EDITION OF 5000-MAIN STREET-ELECTRICAL PARADE-(c)DISNEY-CHINA". |

This is the third in the Farewell to the Main Street Electrical Parade series at the Magic Kingdom. It is LE 3000 and features Elliott from Pete's Dragon. Bottom of pin is dated April 1, 2001.
This gold-finished, textured back pin measures 1 9/16" tall by 1 7/16" wide. The backstamp says, "MAIN-STREET-ELECTRICAL-PARADE-(c)DISNEY-CHINA". |
