This is a prototype of a pin that is now given to guests at the Adventurers Club on Disney's Pleasure Island.
According to the auction description, this prototype pin was only given to employees of the Disney company (making it a Cast Member pin) and has an edition size of 100.
It is a large pin, about 2.5 inches square, and has a jewelry pin clasp on the back. |

This version was only used for a short time in the early days of the Adventurers Club as a participant / magic moment presentation gift.
It features the words “I Survived the Adventurers Club” beneath the Pleasure Island logo and above the word “Kungaloosh!” in red. The wording is set against a background of a world map.
This button was never sold and was only used as a presentation piece. |

 | Pin 15102: WDW - Adventurer's Club Member (Plastic)
Available only as part of an Adventurer's Club Member Kit. There were two price ranges: $20 (Jr. Explorer's Kit) and $40 (the cheaper kit came with a canteen filled with the signature drink, the Kungaloosh!, a t-shirt, two pins - this one and (#15101), information about the club like the song, handshake, etc., and a "Buy 12 Get 1 Free" drink card). I think the more expensive kit also came with a watch.

Identical to pin 15102, except made completely of rubber. It is red, yellow, black & green. It shows a globe sitting in a compass with the words "ADVENTURERS CLUB" written across the globe, and "MEMBER" written below. Also, this pin is tiny compared to it's predecessor, being only about one inch in size. There is no Disney backstamp...it has the Disney trademark right above the word MEMBER. The back of the pin is a clasp-type of safety pin.
From my knowledge, this pin is given out to guests that particapate in the shows around the club. This particular pin started to replace #15102 around 7/18/04.

 | Pin 15101: Adventurer's Club 'KUNGALOOSH!'
I don't know if it's still available but you used to be able to purchase an Adventurer's Club Member Kit. There were two price ranges, $20 (Jr. Explorer's Kit) and $40 I think. Adventures Club Member pin from Pleasure Island The Adventurer's Club. A person paid a fee and took an oath got pin and member secret word. In order to recieve the pin you had to be chosen to be in the old time radio show. Then if you wore the pin you would get free pretzels. The promotion ended years ago. Pin has clutch back type pin. Is black Plastic with raised gold letters. Pin is 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". Has Disney copyright on front. Scan doesn't show bright gold paint on lettering. |

This collection of Vinylmation™ pins features many popular designs from Vinylmation™ Figures. The pins are sculpted to give a three-dimensional look. This pin includes a design from Park #4 featuring Colonel Critchlow Sutch Bench from the Adventurers Club.
The Colonel has a white pith helmet, glasses, grey beard, red coat, and black sash. The bottom half of the Vinylmation is brown, which is the box that the Colonel sits in. The top part of the ears are green.
The sculpted material is like a hard plastic or vinyl material - not the regular rubber Free-D material used on other Disney pins. The metal is yellow.
