The information I have gathered on this pin suggests it was sold exclusively at the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, located in the Tahoe region of California. This resort was founded by Walt Disney in 1939 and one of the mountains within the resort is named Mt. Disney. Pin does bear a Disney copyright on the reverse. There is also a red sweater version, but the copyright on the reverse is slightly different in the way it is presented. Perhaps this is from a different year?
