New Orleans Square opened on July 24, 1966. The pin features Minnie Mouse visiting this new land at Disneyland® Park. Minnie Mouse and the "New Orleans Square" logo are pins-on-pin. Disney Design Group Artist Chris Chapman created the artwork for this pin. Pin has a special small golden Castle attached to it. Minnie is dressed as a Southern Belle in a green gown and bonnet, with long white gloves and holding a parasol (umbrella). She is standing in front of the dark green wrought-iron gateway to the Court de Angels' staircase, a popular photo spot at Disneyland. The "Disneyland® Resort" at the top and the "New Orleans Square 1966" at the bottom are in gold.
