"Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion" was first heard on August 9, 1969. This Open Edition hinged and dangle pin remembers the Opening of the Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. This pin featured hinged doors that open to reveal the three hitchhiking ghosts. "1969" appears in a plaque on the left gatepost. The dangle is a black bat with "Disneyland" in the center in tan letters outlined in gold. Disney Design Group Artist Chris Chapman created the artwork for this pin. Pin has a special small golden Castle attached to it.
