Following 20 months of construction, the New Fantasyland® Opened on May 25, 1983. This Open Edition pin features Tinker Bell, mounted on a spring, flying over the newly redesigned land. The "New Fantasyland" sign is a pin-on-pin. Disney Design Group Artist Chris Chapman created the artwork for this pin. On the back just below the main post is 1983 The New Fantasyland Opens in a long rectangular block. Below that is a box with Magical Milestones 1955-2005 Disneyland Resort. Below that is the Disney Made in China block to the right of that is the Disney logo pin trading stamp.
