 | Pin 81670: DLR - Piece of Disney History 2 - Star Tours
The excitement of the "Piece of Disney History" limited-edition pins continues at the Disneyland® Resort! The December 2010 pin features Teek, from Star Wars, and features pieces from the Star Tours Attraction found at Disneyland® Park. Each pin contains actual pieces of the seat cushion from the attraction. Teek, a white furry creature, is sitting in a big chair with his seat belt on and his hands covering his eyes.
This is the last pin of 2010's Piece of History II series that was released at DLR, and all these POH2 pins came on a special backer card that described what the POH was on the pin. However, the WDW Piece of History Surprise Release Pin (Pinpics #81775), which is the partner to this pin comes on a regular black cardboard backer card with no special information on the card other then it is a LIMITED EDITION. |

The excitement of the "Piece of Disney History" limited-edition pins continues at the Disneyland® Resort! The October 2010 pin features The Little Mermaid's Ariel and Flounder among the colorful fountains found at World of Color Show found at Disney California Adventure® Park. Each pin contains actual pieces from the show. Piece appears to be a small piece of tiles that had to be removed when the fountains were installed.
The back of the card reads:
"World of Color takes place at Paradise Bay lagoon at Disney's California Adventure (r) Park. This night-time spectacular show features nearly 200 foutains, beloved Disney music, lasers, lights, fire and water."
On the back side of the pin:

Each pin contains actual pieces of the asphalt found in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot
The back of the card describes the TOT, and states "This pin contains actual artifacts from this DCA attraction queue." It has nothing to do with the Backlot other than that being the location of TOT.

The excitement of the "Piece of Disney History" continues in 2010 at the Disneyland® Resort! Featuring actual pieces from historic attractions, this pin features Mickey Mouse himself riding the Disneyland® Railroad attraction - and contains an actual remnant of a railroad spike from this beloved attraction!
This silver based pin measures 1 ¾” x 1 ¾” and has a single pin post at the very top-center.
The back of the pin is stamped with the 2010 Pin Trading logo, and three separate rectangles:
The highest rectangle states “A Piece of Disney History II” over “1 OF 12”, the middle rectangle states “LIMITED EDITION OF 2000”, and the lowest rectangle is stamped “© DISNEY” over “CHINA”
The backer card states the following attraction history:
“Walt was adamant that a train be a major part of the Disneyland® Park experience. Originally known as the “Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad” from 1955 to 1974, this Disneyland attraction encircles the park. On October 1, 1974, the name was changed to “Disneyland Railroad.” This pin contains an actual remnant of railroad spike from this beloved attraction.”
