Commermorate Walt Disney's award winning achievements in the entertainment industry with this Limited Edition pin of the month collection. A black-and-white photo of Walt is visible beneath a clear-plastic porthole flanked on either side by a PVC giant squid and Nautilus submarine. The porthole cover is hinged, so that it opens. The title of the film is written across two banners above and below the porthole, and a golden Mickey is attached as a pin-on-pin to the bottom banner, standing on a pedestal on which the year 1955 is written. Size of pin is approximately 1 5/8" by 2 1/8". This is the eleventh Limited Edition pin in the Walt Disney Award Winning Performances Series and commemorates the 1955 award presented to Walt Disney for Achievement with Special Effects for the production of Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Artwork for this pin was created by Disney Design Group Artist Garret Webb and features hinged and PVC elements.
