the sand along the bottom as well with all the lines may be almost twice the size, and the scrapper version may be a lighter gold color that is less "reddish" than the authentic.

I have a pin very similar to this but it says "Little Mermaid's Palace" with the apostrophe which your description includes but not on the backstamp. It also has Disney written with the signature style rather than caps and it says "Disney's LANYARD PIN SERIES" and the tall thin tower on the left is in front of the curve rather than behind. I showed it to several cast members at various pin shops who said it was authentic. How can I know which pins are real. Where did the photo come from? Does Disney release actual photos ever of front and back?

My pin which i know to be real from 2002 the thin tower of the left is forward of the ramp down as well and the disney is in script :)remember most of these pictures are concept art not actual pins :)

I just bought some pins and I'm pretty sure they are ALL scrappers :(

That being said, on the back of this scrapper version, the caption reads "Litte Mermaid's Palace" (missing the "l" of Little)

I also have what I believe is a scrapper. Also says 'Litte Mermaid's Palace'. Any thoughts?

From the DisneyPins.com website this pin is listed as "Cast Lanyard Series - Home Sweet Home (Prince Eric's Palace)"

Mine too looks just like the one pictured but is also missing the "l" from the back in the word litte.

I have seen this pin with both "Little Mermaid's Castle" and "King Triton's Castle".

I got this pin at Disneyland but after viewing it on here I think it's a scrapper. I tried to see if the back said "little" or "litte" but my eyesight isn't the best and I couldn't tell for sure.

Mine has the tower in front of the curve and says Disney's(in classic Disney font) LANYARD PIN SERIES, but does say Litte Mermaid's Palace. I'm starting to wonder if this is only an error......hm.

During our visit to WDW in June 2013 we traded for four of these and all say "Litte Mermaid's Palace" - Has anyone clarified if this is error or scrapper?
