This framed set, exclusive to cast members with a limited edition of 1000, celebrates the fifteen years of discovery of EPCOT. Center to the re-imagined Epcot theme park. The set itself is about 14 inches by 18 and 1/2 inches with a dark wood frame, with the pins laid out on a dark blue background.

The set contains 21 pins altogether in two general groups: Pins for the World Showcase country pavilions and pins for the Future World pavilions. The pins are located at their approximate location in relations to each other.

The World Showcase Country pavilions include the following pins located as there are around the World Showcase Lagoon and Promenade: Mexico (#3479), Norway (#2293), China (#3476), Germany (#3478), Italy (#2294), The American Adventure (#1695), Japan (#2295), Morocco (#3480), France (#3477), United Kingdom (#3481) and Canada (#2292).

These pins are country flags with the name of the pavilion below them.

In the center of this ring (#1797) is the Epcot 15 Years of Discovery logo.

Below the World Showcase portion of the set is Future World containing the following pins (again in their relative positions):

Universe of Energy (#1823), Wonders of Life (#1824), Horizons (#644), World of Motion (#1230), Spaceship Earth (#1803), Communicore (#675), The Living Seas (#1843), The Land (#1722) and Journey Into Imagination (#1802).

These pins have the circular icon - logo for their respective Future World Pavilions with the names of Pavilions below in gold highlights.

Below the Future World section is a plaque (six inches by two and half inches) which reads the following:
[On the left side]
[The Old EPCOT Center atom like logo.]
Walt Disney World ®, EPCOT Center

[In the center]
15 Years
1982 - 1997
Cast Exclusive
Limited Edition of 1000

[On the Right Side]
[An Artist reinterpretation of Spaceship Earth as Epcot’s logo]
Epcot, Walt Disney World ®

The far right corner reads of the plaque: © Disney.

The Old EPCOT logo on the left, often refered to as the "lotus blossom" design has a distinct meaning. The five rings represent the 5 original pavillions at EPCOT Center, The Land, Journey to Imagination, Energy and World of Motion. The other three opened at later dates. The Globe or earth in the middle represents the World Showcase and their orignal countries or pavallions.( This logo can only be found currently in the concrete walkway behind the main fountain on the way to the World Showcase area.)

I'm not sure the "lotus blossom" statmenet is corret. Epcot Center opened with 6 future world pavillions:
Spaceshipe Earth
CommuniCore
Universe of Energy
World of Motion
The Land
Journey into Imagination (although the ride opened in March 1983).
Plus, why would the original symbol exlude World Showcase?

There are less than 1000 sets available. After more than 2 years of sales at Company D, and the price reduced to $75 then later to $35, the remaining sets were broken up and the individual pins were sold to cast members. Also, the metal plaque on the bottom tended to "slip" from it's double stick backing, ending up resting against the frame, or sometimes over the pins.
