This Limited Edition 500 pin was released at Disneyland Resort on August 17, 2012.
It is one in a series of pins featuring characters who appear only in the end credits of the Disney Pixar movie, "Cars". In this scene, the movie characters were watching movies at the drive-in theater. The movies that played on the screen showed what Pixar movies would be like in the "Cars" universe.
This pin features the Abominable Snowplow, from the movie "Monster Trucks, Inc." The Abominable Snowman is grey with yellow lights at the top of the truck's cab.

This pin was released on a special backing card that looks like a top view of the hood of a car, including "headlights" at the bottom two corners. The card is red and made to look like glitter auto paint. In the top left hand corner is the Disneyland logo, and in the right is the Cars logo. The card reads, Gear Up For Adventure at the top, and 1955 below. On the "grill" it reads Limited Edition.
The back of the pin has the Pin Trading 2012 logo as well as the Gear Up For Adventure logo, with Mickey's face inside a gear/circle. It reads, Limited Edition of 500 & Made in China. |
