This pin is from the town of Celebration in Florida celebrating their 5th Anniversary. The pin is white with dark green and gold accents. It shows a tree, picket fence and child on a bicycle. Around the scene in a circle is "CELEBRATION FLORIDA 2001." Beneath is a large white "5" as a pin-on-pin, and next to it is "YEAR ANNIVERSARY."
The backstamp is, "(c) Disney, China."
It came on a card which read, "March 21, 2002. The entire Celebration team would like to "celebrate" with you the 5th year Anniversary of Celebration. We hope you enjoy this token commemorating the community's success. Perry Reader." |

Is there any explanation as to why this pin is marked 2001 and given out in 2002? Also, according to Pinpics #598 Celebration was established in 1994; thus the 5th anniversary would be 1999. So..is this an error pin too? Confused. |

I bought mine through the store in downtown Celebration via mail order back then, and mine didn't come on a card. It just came in a wrapped in plastic. As for the date, I don't know when Celebration was established, but I would think Disney and their city would have it right. |
