PinPics Does Handhelds!
Have you ever wanted to take the PinPics database with you
to the parks or to pin meets? Now owners of PalmOS devices
will be able to! This program features a trimmed-down version
of the PinPics database, and supports the same searching
features offered on PinPics.
Any devices running PalmOS 2.0 or later should be supported.
This includes the various 3Com Palm handhelds as well as other
manufacturers like HandSpring and IBM.
We are constantly asked about pin pictures with the Palm units,
so here's the scoop: we are working the final logistics of
supporting pin pictures for Palm units that have external
memory cards such as the MemPlug for the Visor or the multimedia
cards for the newer 3Com units. Color screens are a definite
plus, but not absolutely required. We might also be offering
a printable thumbnail booklet for the rest of humanity. More on
this to come.
The program is distributed in two parts. The first part is
the program itself, which takes up approximately 20 kilobytes of
memory on your device. The second part is the pin database, which
can take up pretty much the rest of your memory :-). Sorry about
that, but there's a lot of information in there.
You can download the program and the database either as a raw
PRC/PDB file or as a compressed ZIP file.
